Fill The Boot: Through the annual “Fill the Boot” event, fire fighters across the United States and Canada have been a major contributor to the Muscular Dystrophy Association since 1952, raising more than $350 million.

The event is successful thanks to hundreds of motorists who stop to put money in fire boots. Acting as volunteer counselors for the kids, firefighters are also instrumental at MDA summer camps throughout the United States every year.
